Én laikus vagyok, de a gugli ezt mondja itt:
"It is a 'Spezimatic Bison' with a Kaliber (calibre) 75 movement, a date-equipped derivative of the '74' which was, at 5.05 mm, the thinnest automatic movement in the world when launched in 1964. This was possible thanks to the whole automatic gear train being arranged beneath the main bridge. These movements reached by default a quality rendering the 1950's distinction of standard and special quality watches ('Güteuhren') obsolete. (This is reflected by the name 'Spezimatic', a contraction of the words 'Spezial Automatic'.) For the first time they raised the East German watch industry to at least eye level with the competition and are, together with the 'Spezichron' (chronometre) and the 'Güteuhren' watches of old, the ones most sought after."

Szerintem a minőségre vonatkozott elsősorban, de ezzel együtt vékonyak is voltak.
